INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE CHURCH PLANTERS

Global Outreach's Church Planting Process

SRC through its Global Outreach ministry has a primary focus on church planting. The mission of Global Outreach (GO) is to plant gospel-centered reproducing churches around the world using indigenous leaders. This follows the SRC vision of working together with God to reach and transform people.

In order to stay focused on this mission, SRC has developed a church planting process which is used when evaluating new proposals or funding requests coming from the field.

Step 1 - The Preliminary Survey

This initial step will let us know your ministry background, your vision and your mission when planting a church. It will also help us to determine if you are a candidate to submitt a church planting proposal for the GO Board to review.

Step 2 - The Church Planting Proposal

Upon the board's review of the preliminary survey, you may be contacted to move to this step of submitting a church planting proposal. We will provide you with a template for your proposal, so we can gather more in depth information about yourself and your ministry. Also a template to enter your budget numbers will be provided.

Step 3 - Global Outreach Board (GOB) Review

Upon review of your church planting proposal and budget, the GO board will follow a diligent evaluation to determine if you are eligible to be funded by SRC as a church planter.

Step 4 - Assessment/Recommendations

A preliminary online assessment can be taken on this link. Upon completion, you can forward your scores to us. If you've already been assessed by another center, please provide the reports and scores to us at this point of the process. Also, please send us any recommendation letters you may have from previous ministry experiences.

Step 5 - Interview and Final Approval

After the GO Board has approved your proposal, reviewed your assessment and recommendation letters, you will be invited to visit SRC for a face-to-face interview with the board. As part of the interview, you will be asked to sign a covenant agreement with SRC and go thorugh a 2-day training on presenting the gospel.

Note: the entire process described above could take 3 - 5 months before funding starts.
