This is who we are and what we believe.
We want to make a difference in the world as God’s co-workers in His work of transforming people into the image of Jesus Christ. "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:1-2
Five Declarations of the Reformation
-
Scripture Alone.
The Bible is the Word of God (inspired and authoritative).
The Bible tells us the truth because it is the truth (infallible and inerrant).
-
Grace Alone.
We believe that salvation is a gift initiated and given by God, based upon his grace alone. We cannot and did not do anything to win God’s favor.
-
Christ Alone.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the eternal Son of God, who atoned for the sins of all who will trust in him, alone, for salvation.
1 Timothy 2:5-6
-
Faith Alone
Salvation is received by faith alone, which is itself God’s gift.
We don’t do good works to win our salvation. Good works are a response to our salvation.
-
The Glory to God Alone
We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived in such a way as to bring honor and glory to God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
